Frequently asked questions
Where is the venue?
Our dear friends at Left Lane Hospitality had the good foresight to transform Savannah’s famous Mansion at Forsyth Park into the city’s newest and most exciting hotel experience.
Despite having no engineering or architectural training whatsoever, Ray+Trey took it upon themselves to conduct a thorough hard hat walkthrough of the venue and the grounds and determined, yes, they have a pool and it looks fancy. So the contract was signed and the Hotel Bardo will host the wedding activities.
Where exactly is the Hotel Bardo?
The hotel is located at 700 Drayton Street, Savannah, Georgia 31401.
What do I wear?
While we honor the fact that America is an inherently free country, unfortunately, our wedding is not. If you’d like to celebrate with us we will require a tuxedo and/or a gown. We want everyone at the wedding to feel elegant and sexy. Plus, when everyone is dressed in the same type of uniform you know what makes you stand out? Your personality. And that personality is the very reason you were invited to our big day. We look forward to watching this group share the love they’ve shared with Ray and/or Trey over the years with everyone we hold dear.
TL;DR: Black tie
I can’t RSVP!
Ok, chill, that’s not even a question. The RSVP Password is at the bottom of the timeline card that came with your invitation. Unless you didn’t get an invite. In which case, how are you here? Why are you so obsessed with us?
Please be advised the password is case sensitive.
What time do the festivities begin?
The pre-celebratory cocktails will be served at 5:30. The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00.
Wait, was my invite scented?
Yes. Either Tom Ford’s Bois Marocain or Lost Cherry. Let us know below which scent you believe you received.
Where can we stay?
The Hotel Bardo, obvs. Regrettably, the room block is full but we heard they have some rooms left so click here and make your reservation ASAP. And let us know below if you’ll be staying at The Bardo or somewhere else.
We missed the room block!
Ok, first off, chill, that wasn’t even a question. Looks like they still have rooms available. Reach out to us directly and we’ll help. Ray@raytreybigday.com and/or Trey@raytreybigday.com. Don’t worry. We’ll see you by the pool.
Is there parking available?
Maybe. We live in New York. How the hell should we know what to do with a car? But we did hear the Hotel Bardo has a valet.
What’s the wedding vibe?
Picture a Venn diagram consisting of three intersections:
Sophisticated tropical disco
Mid-century southern
Early-90’s yuppie pretentiousness
Is there a welcome party?
We will be officially kicking off the wedding weekend promptly at 6:30 on Saturday, October 5th with 25,000 of our closest friends as we enjoy the Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra’s annual Phil in the Park. This is one of the largest annual civic events in Savannah and should prove to be a magical welcoming for all our friends and family traveling from near and far. The mainstage is conveniently located across the street from the Hotel Bardo. We will welcome everyone to the Hostess City of the South with a mixer at Collins Quarter behind the main stage. Ray +Trey are proudly offering an open bar, passed hors d'oeuvres, and beautiful people.
How do we dress on Saturday?
Park Chic.
What is Park Chic?
Chic… but, like, in a park. A park with a courtyard so don’t forget the heels, ladies!
What else is there to do in Savannah?
You mean besides shop for a fantastic wedding gift?! The fabulous Mark Royston from Elegant Savannah Weddings curated this fun list of stuff to keep you busy while you’re in town.
Why is the wedding on a Sunday?
Because we didn’t want to compete with a literal symphony.
Can we bring our kids?
No.
Seriously? No kids?
Yes. Enjoy your weekend of freedom.
